Using Cloaked Links as Part and Parcel of a Complete Affiliate Marketing Strategy

One of the main reasons why people end up feeling that cloaked links aren't as 'important' as they're made out to be is simply because even after cloaking links - some people still don't manage to make the kind of money that they desire from affiliate marketing. But does that mean that the cloaked links themselves are a problem, or the affiliate marketing strategy that is being employed is at fault?

Frankly speaking, cloaked links aren't a 'miracle cure'. If you were getting zero sales from your affiliate products previously, simply cloaking your affiliate links is not going to suddenly get you hundreds of sales on a daily basis. Sure, you might get an extra sale here and there, but if you aren't already making money through affiliate marketing, chances are that there are other things that are wrong with your affiliate marketing strategy.

On the whole, cloaked affiliate links help to protect your links and increase their appeal - that's it. This is definitely going to help with your sales, but it is by no means that only factor behind whether or not you're able to actually make sales. Being able to generate targeted traffic and having good sales copy are examples of two other factors that play huge roles in terms of acquiring sales.

If you intend to make the most out of your cloaked links, you need to ensure that they are part and parcel of a complete affiliate marketing strategy, and not just some standalone feature that you've decided to implement. In order to get the most 'bang for your buck' so to speak, you need to cover all the bases, and make certain that your affiliate marketing is being carried out properly from the ground up.

Of course, you could use certain aspects of affiliate link cloaking in order to further improve on this strategy - such as by using double redirects to bypass affiliate product sales pages that are not performing and instead direct them to your own sales copy (that should be intended to out-perform the standard sales copy!). Similarly, you could employ the same tactic but instead combine affiliate marketing with email marketing.

Seeing as you have a link cloaker, you'll find that there really are a ton of options available to you - but you need to make them a part of your strategy as a whole for them to succeed.

So take the time to sit down and think about your affiliate marketing. Cover every aspect of it from the traffic that you obtain, to the method in which you generate sales, and to the sales themselves. Anything and everything that you think can be improved... should be improved! By doing so, you'll make the most out of your cloaked affiliate links!
